In architecture, rise over run is used to calculate the height and depth of stairs and the slope of roofs. It is also a mathematical equation for determining the rate of change. In Rise Over Run Again, Ricciuto blends all of these ideas to chart the creative process, which is intuitive and unending. The piece creates a fantastical space that blends the technological with the handmade, the traditional with the futuristic, the familiar with the imagined.
